A Great Dane-bullmastiff mix was discovered by a Humbercrest Boulevard homeowner and her daughter after the pooch had made himself comfortable on their porch. “We fell madly in love with him,” Brenda Morgan told The Villager after discovering the dog last Friday. Morgan, who has a Golden Retriever named Bailey, took the dog to her backyard while she reached out to as many as 60 dog owners in the neighbourhood, who are part of an organization called ‘The Humber Hounds’. She and her daughter also called around to area veterinarians and clinics. “His temperament – he’s unbelievable,” Morgan said. “He’s like a baby, so sweet.” Morgan discovered the dog after City of Toronto employees who were working on the street knocked on her door, alerting her that the animal was going to wander away. “They had noticed the dog on the porch,” Morgan recalled. “They knocked on the door and said, ‘Your dog is going to >>>dog, page 13
