CLARK KIM ckim@insidetoronto.com The Pan Am Torch was unveiled Monday at the Ontario Science Centre along with the names of the first torchbearers who will be carrying the flame across the country – including one from 11 Division. “It will be seen by millions. It will bring Canadians together,” said Saad Rafi, CEO of the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games (TO2015).

“These Games are going to be special.” About 3,000 torchbearers in total are expected to complete, on average, a 200-metre segment during the 41-day torch relay. Dignitaries in attendance included Toronto Mayor John Tory, Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne, and TO2015 Board Chair David Peterson, who each announced one of the first nine torchbearers at the event. Zsofia Balazs, 24, had the chance to hold the torch at the London Olympic Games where she competed for Canada as a competitive distance swimmer. >>>BALAZS, page 7
