Boudreau. Accompanying the photo, is the Campbellton, New Brunswick-born soldier’s story, contributed by Allen’s decadeslong photographer friend and the First World War veteran’s nephew Ray Boudreau. Boudreau’s father was just a year old when his eldest brother was killed. “My uncles thought he’d come back through me,” Boudreau said during a conversation at The Grenadier Restaurant in High Park after he and Allen had finished hanging some of Allen’s photographs of poppies from High Park.
