3-D PRINTER MAGIC

Soil samples taken from the GE-Hitachi nuclear energy facility at Lansdowne Avenue and Dupont Street indicate there are no health risks to the community, according to Toronto Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. David McKeown. The Ministry of Environment has completed its testing of soil at the GE-Hitachi plant in response to residents’ concerns about the uranium processing at the facility. The results show that uranium concentrations in the soils were all within the “range of background concentrations typical in Ontario soils.” McKeown said Toronto Public Health does not feel there are any health risks to residents.
