Indy is currently strutting her stuff in a foster home while she recovers from a broken leg. She is one lovable lady who wants to give you peanut butter kisses and watch movies. She came to Palmetto Animal League with her puppies and is glad to be having some mommy time in a foster home. She would do best in a home by herself but does enjoy playtime. Indy is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. PAL has made visitation changes to comply with coronavirus guidelines. Blue ribbons honor health workers Sun City residents Lynn Sheppard and Cathy Dunne both felt the need to show support and appreciation to all the health care providers who are working long hours to save lives and combat the COVID-19 crisis. Everyone knows someone – perhaps a relative, friend or neighbor – who is out in the field working day and night. The two residents felt Sun City’s senior generation needed to show support at this difficult time, so they decided to do something special. Late one evening, the two tied blue bows to each mailbox on Marigold Drive. Residents received an email explaining that the bows are meant to be a reminder and symbol of appreciation for local health care heroes. The idea has caught on, and now blue bows are showing up on other Sun City streets. The hope is that all of Sun City will join in and show their support with blue ribbons for the community’s wonderful, courageous caregivers.
