Kapaleeshwara temple is a place buried in history. Mythology and legends peek and glance from its many cracks and corners, ŵƵĐŚ ůŝŬĞ ƵďŝƋƵŝƚŽƵƐ ĐĂƌǀŝŶŐƐ ŽĨ ^ŚŝǀĂ͕ ƚŚĞ ƉƌŝŵĂƌLJ ĚĞŝƚLJ ĂŶĚ 'ŽĚ ĂŌĞƌ ǁŚŽŵ ƚŚĞ ƚĞŵƉůĞ ǁĂƐ ƐƵƉƉŽƐĞĚůLJ ďƵŝůƚ͘ dŚĞ ŚŝƐƚŽƌLJ ŽĨ this temple also has an intricate bearing on Mylapore itself, the area within which the temple is ensconced.
