4

Our student’s and kid’s experiences are outstanding, so make sure your kids don’t miss out on the amazing things we have going on just for them.

Day 12 (Dec. 14) Light/Lights

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12

Day 11 (Dec. 15) Sweet

I hold back my feet from every evil way, in order to keep your word. 102 I do not turn aside from your rules, for you have taught me. 103 How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Psalm 119:101-103

Day 10 (Dec. 16) Tree

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. 1 Peter 2:24

Day 09 (Dec. 17) Angel The countdown has begun! With the Thanksgiving season behind us, most of us have shifted gears and are fully immersed in the Christmas season. (Of course there are some of you that began the Christmas season way back in July when Hobby Lobby first brought out their Christmas decor inventory.) Regardless of when you began hanging the lights, trimming the tree, lighting the Christmas cookie scented candles or created your perfect Christmas music playlist on Spotify, nobody can deny that the countdown to Christmas is here! No other season quite brings the excitement and anticipation like Christmas does. This is all the more reason for believers in Christ to use the season of Christmas to place our focus on Him! So, join us in our 12 Days of Christmas Photo Countdown at The Bridge. The assignment is simple and together we can countdown the days to Christmas all while keeping our focus on the ‘reason for the season.’ The rules are simple. We all love photos and no doubt have heard the saying, “A picture is worth a thousand words.” And most of us are connected on social media through Facebook, Twitter & Instagram. Our 12 Days of Christmas Photo Countdown is about combining the two. Below you will find a list of words. One word for each day of our 12 day countdown. Each word is Christmas themed and has an accompanying scripture verse. Your mission, if you choose to accept, is to take the word for the day, get creative, and snap a photo on your phone that represents that word to you. Then you’ll post it to your preferred social media outlet with the following hashtag…

#bridgechristmas With a church like ours, full of creative people like you, surely we can fill up our social media feeds with a visual reminder to all, what the real reason for the season is. Join us! 4 / THEBRIDGEAG.ORG

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. Luke 2:10-11

Day 08 (Dec. 18) Sheep

We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:6

Day 07 (Dec. 19) Shepherd

I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me. John 10:11 & 14

Day 06 (Dec. 20) Star

and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.” Matthew 2:2

Day 05 (Dec. 21) Wise Man

After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. 10 When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. Matthew 2:9-10

Day 04 (Dec. 22) Baby

and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them. Luke 2:7

Day 03 (Dec. 23) Candle

Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:15-16

Day 02 (Dec. 24) Gifts

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

Day 01 (Dec. 25) Joy

He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth. Luke 1:14

IN CASE YOU DIDN’T HEAR ABOUT WHAT GOD HAS BEEN DOING AT THE BRIDGE… HAITI MISSION’S TRIP At the beginning of November, Pastor Ken Isom led a team of 14 people from our church to minister to the needs of those in the country of Haiti. While there they had the opportunity to serve the local schools by building desks and benches for students. Additionally, they were able to work with the women in the community and teach them sewing skills. It was an incredible serving opportunity for those who attended.

STL PIE AUCTION Every year, the Sunday night before Thanksgiving, Bridge Students host their annual Pie Auction in the Venue. Pumpkin, Coconut, Cherry, Apple, Chocolate and any other pie you can think of are represented and are auctioned off to the highest bidder! Proceeds all go to Speed the Light, which supports missionaries all across the globe by providing them with transportation solutions and communication needs.

OASIS BRANSON TRIP The week before Thanksgiving our senior adults headed out in luxury on their way to Branson, Missouri for a few days of fun and fellowship. They loaded up in a tour bus on Monday and spent the week in the Ozarks enjoying the sights, shows and company. It was a great week!
