IN CASE YOU DIDN’T HEAR ABOUT WHAT GOD HAS BEEN DOING AT THE BRIDGE… MOBILE SANTA WORKSHOP On Saturday December 13th, with the Bridge Ministry trailer decorated to fit the Christmas season, we found ourselves seeking the help of two very important people…Santa and Mrs. Claus! We then went to Wal-Mart and provided area kids and families Christmas pictures with Santa and hot chocolate for free! It was a great service to our community! Thanks to all who helped serve!

SHOEBOX PROJECT Sunday, December 7th, in place of our normal evening service we mixed things up a bit and gathered in the Bridge Students building to partner with the Dream Center OKC. Our hopes were to help them make Christmas brighter for some very special children. From donations collected by our church, we then wrapped hundreds of gifts and loaded them up to be given the kids in a south OKC community. It was an incredible evening!

BRIDGE FAMILY CHRISTMAS Who could forget the incredible evening that we all got to enjoy on Sunday, December 14! From Sheep to Angels, Dancing silverware to Gospel Quartets, not to mention an amazing choir and orchestra to top it off! One could say that we had it all! With over 900 people in attendance, it was an amazing evening to celebrate Christmas with our friends and loved ones!

a new start by showing us the endless possibilities of a boy, his best friend, and their unshakeable sense of adventure. His final message was that Calvin and Hobbes both live on, their curiosity pushing them forward. As it so happens, the last strip of Calvin and Hobbes was published on December 31 of 1995, the last day before the New Year. Fast forward twenty years and here we are with 2015 creeping up on us, and this poignant message is just as relevant. Now, more than ever, our days are crammed with things that weigh us down. We’ve spent all year trying to carry burdens on our own, desperately hiding our messy hearts,

himself, demand euphoria. Somehow we’ve stumbled through another year, leaving tracks in the snow, but during that one midnight that’s more important to us than the other 364 midnights in a year, we welcome a fantastic unfamiliarity into our little world. The beauty of God’s love rests in the fact that this fresh start doesn’t happen just once a year, but every moment of our lives. God is quick to restore us to a white sheet of paper, because He sees the possibilities that lie within us before we’ve even attempted seeking them out. Watterson teaches us that even great things come to an end,

Calvin and Hobbes was a bright shooting star that flared across the sky for a brief and memorable moment, each of us wishing to capture its essence in how we live our own lives. I hope that this New Year is full of countless ends and beginnings for you. I hope that you welcome the unknown with faith and encounter love, hope, and new friendships. Most of all, I wish for you to make 2015 a year of exploring. Being granted another year full of uncertainties, or even another day of mystery, is the greatest, most wonderful adventure of all. It truly is a magical world, friends.

and that’s okay. It’s beneficial and even necessary to take a step back from certainty, but it’s important to note that Calvin always has Hobbes and vice versa, to say that wherever you go, don’t go alone. Though we will always miss transmogrifiers, Spaceman Spiff, and the nonsensical rules of Calvinball, we’re assured that greater things are to come. Beyond the

thinly drawn line of one’s comfort zone, there exists amazing adventures, calling for us to grab our sleds, walk beside a friend and start exploring. This legendary cartoonist gave us a final comic strip to love and stir our hearts, but in order to do that he had to know when to quit. So yes, make new resolutions, look forward with hope and seek answers to the questions of the world (but don’t have answers for everything, there’s no fun in that). Also, think about what should be brought to an end. Stop trying to do things where you can do no more, and replace it with something fresh, untouched and white as snow. THEBRIDGEAG.ORG / 9
