PARTNERSHIP HIGHLIGHTS

The Broad Stage

CARNEGIE HALL’S WEILL MUSIC INSTITUTE: MUSICAL EXPLORERS The Broad Stage partners with Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute to present Musical Explorers, an innovative program connecting 3,000 K-2 students to the diverse music in our community. By exploring three cultural styles of music that are part of the fabric of Los Angeles, students develop listening, singing and rhythmic skills. This learning culminates in an original interactive play created by The Broad Stage’s Education & Community Programs team in collaboration with the featured local artists.

NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC LIVE National Geographic programs present photographers, filmmakers and scientists who share their art and explorations. To compliment the National Geographic Student Matinees, Education & Community Programs creates optional excursions that extend school field trips and deepen learning. Working with such organizations as the Friends of Ballona Wetlands and Heal the Bay, students and their teachers journey from The Broad Stage to science-based partner organizations, creating a strong bridge between the arts and sciences.
