Hundreds of the winning student authors and artists will gather to autograph the regular sized copies of the big book and to auction off their phenomenal artwork. The book will be on display at the museum alongside artwork from our Lone Star artists through the entire holiday season in our newly upgraded library just before I Am Texas goes on its "Big Book" statewide tour next year! The holiday season always proves to be a favorite time at the Museum. There will be lots of opportunities to partake in family fun with our Halloween Spooktacular, our popular elf hunt through the galleries in December, and an evening Holiday Delights We hope this season encourages you to visit us, and as always, we love it when our dedicated visitors and members share the experience with friends. We can’t wait to see you again at The Bryan this Fall and Winter!
Summer at The Bryan Museum proved to be record breaking and we are not referring to the heat! Visitation hit all time highs This energy continues to motivate our team to create exhibits, programs, and opportunities that truly elevate our visitors’ experience During this pivotal time of growth at the organization, we thrive on providing unique ways to learn history and make memorable connections to Texas and its remarkable story Just the other day, a museum visitor said to me, “Every student in the state of Texas should be at this museum ” We wholeheartedly believe that too; education is the heart of everything we do for students of all ages. We have a huge task at hand to reach more people as we focus on our mission to preserve our great history by bringing it to life for the next generation Now as we close out the summer, I can’t wait to share what the museum is preparing for our fall and winter schedule

Photographer Rick Williams has captured images of workers and work places in three diverse industries that constitute the three pillars of the Texas economy: ranching, oil, and technology Working Hands: An Exhibition of Photographs by Rick Williams features forty finely detailed photographs that evoke a powerful sense of what it must feel like to engage in the work depicted, as well as the unique character each industry brings to the Texas landscape.
The brothers' dream was to create a large scale portfolio (termed an elephant folio) of Texas birds, with written commentary When Of Birds & Texas was introduced in 1986, the late Texas writer A C Greene hailed the finished project as “the most stunning and prodigious book in Texas history.”
