J.P. Bryan and the Delegados Advocate Board of The Bryan Museum cordially invite you to participate in our online Visions of the West Auction featuring a trove of unique and rare art, artifacts, and documents. The Visions of the West Auction will benefit The Bryan Museum’s education and exhibition programs. The Bryan Museum’s mission is to bring the history of Texas and the American West to life. Through its world-class collections, exhibitions, and educational history and literacy programs, students of all ages get a chance to experience the stories of yesterday and write the stories of tomorrow. Founded in 2015 by J.P. Bryan, a descendant of Moses Austin, the museum is located in the historic Galveston Orphans Home and is dedicated to the preservation of more than 70,000 works of art and artifacts spanning 12,000 years of history. The diverse stories of the individuals who lived in the West are captured in six galleries devoted to Native peoples, Spanish exploration, the Frontier, the Texas Republic, Statehood and Beyond, and Masters of Texas Art. The museum uses its collections to encourage visitors, researchers, and students to ask great questions, share new ideas, and understand how the decisions they make today will affect future generations. The Delegados Advocate Board is The Bryan Museum’s most important group of volunteer leaders who enhance and advance the Museum’s mission and visibility in the community. They are prominent ambassadors for the Museum, raising awareness of the importance of preserving and promoting the history of Texas and the American West. Delegados are passionate about Western history and have a desire to build strong communities through giving back.
