♦ Brive Vallée de la Dordogne will become Ryanair's second hub in the Limousin ♦ Initially 2 flights a week to Maastricht from April 2013 ♦ Ryanair also announces return to Clermont management of Brive Airport have made little secret of their desire to attract one of Europe's largest airlines onto its runways. Jean-Louis Nesti, president of the syndicate that owns the airport, was understandably delighted to be welcoming the Irish airline giant. “I am over the moon at the launch of this new link,” said Mr Nesti. “It will attract tourists from Holland, Belgium and Germany, which represent, after the UK, the countries with the most significant number of visitors to the areas covered by our airport.”

yanair has announced that it is to fly from Brive Airport for the first time in 2013, with 2 flights a week to Maastricht. The flights will initially run every Wednesday and Sunday from 3rd April until the end of October. The low-cost airline already has an established presence in the Limousin through Limoges International Airport, but the new flights into Brive Vallée de la Dordogne will give Ryanair a second base in the region.
