Battle raging in the skies over Limousin Brive airport has announced it is to launch a Ryanair flight to London Stansted in spring, putting it in direct competition with Limoges airport and breaking a non-competition agreement signed between the two regional hubs. airports that they would not compete on the same lines with the same companies. ne of the big attractions of living in the Limousin, for many British expats, are the excellent air links with the UK via LimogesBellegarde airport. When Brive airport opened in 2010, expat Brits had even more options for getting into and out of the region. Many questioned at the time, however, whether the Limousin needed, or indeed could handle, another airport. A major fear was that the larger airlines would play Brive, Limoges and to a certain extent Bergerac airports off against each other in order to acquire more favourable deals. Europe's low-cost airlines, and Ryanair in particular, are known for their aggressive negotiating tactics with small regional airports. To this end, an agreement was signed between Brive and Limoges
