PRESENTS
SEASON IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ALLIED SOLUTIONS
Welcome to the 2024-2025 Center Presents Season, presented in partnership with Allied Solutions and already boasting over 60 performances, with more to come.
We approach this season with exciting news: the installation of custom-designed, state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems at the Palladium, bringing clarity and vividness that will transform the concert experience. What isn’t new is our commitment to bringing you the widest possible variety of styles and sounds, with something to suit nearly every age and taste.
Fans of classic rock will find a lot to enjoy in our Katz, Sapper & Miller Pop/Rock Series, including performances from Grand Funk Railroad and Micky Dolenz of the Monkees. Alongside tributes to David Bowie, Queen, Steely Dan and Joni Mitchell are less conventional approaches to the tribute genre, including Leonid & Friends, playing the music of Chicago and other brass-friendly rock bands, and Yesterday and Today, an interactive Beatles experience in which the audience chooses the songs. If you’re looking for Taylor Swift, you can hear her songs interpreted by the innovative Vitamin String Quartet.
The Printing Partners Encore Series features pianist Ben Folds, YouTube stars the Piano Guys, longtime Jimmy Buffett sideman Mac McAnally, and hot guitar picking from Steve Wariner and honky-tonk heroes Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives.
The Classical Series is led by pianist Lang Lang and violinist Itzhak Perlman, while the Hoosier Village & The Barrington Songbook Series promises Hamilton star Renée Elise Goldsberry, popsoul legend Dionne Warwick, and Michael Feinstein with the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra. The Drewry Simmons Vornehm Jazz Series features returning favorites Boney James and Wynton Marsalis along with first-timers the Average White Band (coinciding with Carmel Jazz Fest) and acclaimed producer Don Was with his Pan Detroit Ensemble.
Once again, the Old Town Family Series delivers entertainment for all ages, including magician Michael Grandinetti, natural science with Netflix’s Our Planet Live, and glow-in-the-dark wonders from iLuminate. And our Holiday Series includes the annual tradition of Dave Koz & Friends; return visits from Canadian Brass, Jane Lynch and Jon McLaughlin; and swing revivalists Cherry Poppin’ Daddies, evoking the spirit of a 1940s radio broadcast with their WWII Tiki Xmas Canteen.
Alongside all the great music, you’ll find the domestic comedy of #IMOMSOHARD, spooky tales with Haunted Objects Live, and witty wisdom from Peter Sagal, of NPR’s Wait Wait … Don’t Tell Me!
We hope you can join us this season and enjoy everything the Center has to offer.

THE GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK FOUNDATION
THE MISSION OF THE GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK FOUNDATION IS TO INSPIRE AND EDUCATE BY CELEBRATING THE GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK.
LIBRARY & ARCHIVES
The Great American Songbook Foundation oversees the Songbook Library & Archives, a vast and growing resource containing recordings, arrangements, images, memorabilia, personal papers and other items from the foundational era of American popular music.
The Library & Archives was established to preserve the physical artifacts of the Great American Songbook’s creators and performers for the education and benefit of current and future generations. The facility also includes a reference library and study space for researchers who wish to learn more about the music and the culture it has inspired.
In addition, the Great American Songbook Exhibit Gallery open to the public is a multimedia educational center with rotating exhibits displaying pieces from the Archives. As a Cultural Affiliate of the Los Angeles-based Grammy Museum®, the Songbook Foundation is among a handful of institutions worldwide that collaborate on exhibitions, educational initiatives, research programs, internship opportunities, technical support and more.
EDUCATION & OUTREACH
The Foundation offers education and outreach programs to introduce people of all ages to the music and composers of the Great American Songbook in the context of American history and culture.
Immersing young performers in America’s rich musical heritage, the annual Songbook Academy® is a national summer music intensive through which singers become storytellers. Designed to guide high school singers in honing their vocal and performance skills – with an emphasis on interpretation – the weeklong program invites students from across the country to apply for the opportunity to learn and perform under the guidance of top-tier mentors from Broadway, the entertainment industry and respected university music programs.
To accompany its physical collections and on-site programming, the Foundation has developed a robust menu of virtual programming and online resources including digital exhibitions, collections highlights, video tours, activity kits, educational materials and more.
The Foundation’s Perfect Harmony® program, developed in consultation with a board-certified music therapist, is a music resource that provides care partners with appropriate generational music and activities to engage older adults in a shared music experience. By offering monthly video resources, playlists and themed music activities for individual and group settings, Perfect Harmony offers a unique opportunity for social engagement and promotes holistic well-being through music.
SONGBOOK HALL OF FAME
The Great American Songbook Hall of Fame celebrates lyricists, composers, performers and other artists who helped to create “the soundtrack of our lives” with their contributions to American popular song. With plans to establish a Great American Songbook Museum, the Foundation is now in its 12th year of inducting honorees such as Judy Garland, Nat King Cole, Chita Rivera and George and Ira Gershwin
