Bible Games and Apps
It is no secret that technology is here to stay and that the Bible has taken the app world by storm. There are a variety of Bible apps to choose from, below is a few. You are welcome to check out your app store to find an app that suits your needs.
BEST OVERALL BIBLE APP: OLIVE TREE BIBLE Platform: Android; iOS: iPhone and iPad File Size: 60.4MB Seller: HarperCollins Christian Publishing, Inc. Cost: Free The interactive app enables you to highlight with personalized highlighters, take notes with personalized fonts and varying text sizes, dramatically transform the mood by changing the font and color schemes to the most readable, and even adjust the gestures to make navigating the app so easy with your reading habits in mind. BIBLE QUIZ 3D-RELIGIOUS GAME Platform: Android; iOS: iPad and iPhone File Size: 74.2MB Seller: Stojan Pesic Cost: Free; Offers In-App Purchase The Bible Quiz 3D – Religious Game is another surprisingly addictive app that parents and kids will love to play together. In this adorable app, users compete against other players in cyberspace – which means you must be connected to the Internet. Although this is a negative for this game, especially since poor losers sometimes quit the game before the end and halt the entire game for everyone, it’s almost worth it. Not only will both parents and their children learn plenty from the thoughtful trivia questions, but the Mario Kart style racing elements will also keep you on the edge of your seats and make you ready to try it again. SCRIPTURE TYPER BIBLE MEMORY Platform: Android; iOS: iPhone, iPad, iPod touch File Size: 13.9MB Seller: Millennial Apps, LLC Cost: Free If you’ve been meaning to start memorizing Scripture, the Scripture Typer Bible Memorization System is where it’s at. You can type verses out, use flashcards, create drawings, make collections, and set review intervals. You can also sync with your other devices, and on the upgraded version of this amazing app, you can record yourself speaking the verse. Customer reviews say it all; just check out how much the users love this app, and you’ll have every reason to download it then and there.

HELP SHARE THE STORY OF GOD’S AMAZING GRACE The Bible Society of South Africa is celebrating its 200-year anniversary. We are deeply grateful for the grace and favour the Lord has bestowed upon this organisation whose mission it is to provide affordable Bibles to everyone in the language of their choice. Thanks to the Bible Society’s work of translating, producing and distributing the Bible, the people of South Africa are able to hear God speak to them in each of the 11 official languages. In celebration of this blessed and momentous milestone, we have set a special goal for ourselves – to provide the people of South Africa with two million Bibles and two million sets of Biblebased literacy booklets.
THE NEED FOR BIBLES Research shows: there is still a need for 23 million Bibles in our country; more than 30 million South Africans live in poverty; and the current employment rate is 23,3%. Our 2 Million Bibles project will see us distribute two million Bibles and two million sets of Biblebased literacy booklets to address both Bible poverty among those who can least afford a Bible as well as illiteracy in our country.
