CULTURE REVIEW Made in Dagenham @ The City Academy
S
tudents, parents, carers, alumni, and the wider Hackney community were treated to an electrifying performance of Made in Dagenham last week. It was clear to see the dedicaOon and the talent of all who parOcipated in this years school musical across the Drama Department, the Music Department, cast and crew. The energy of the cast and their clear passion to perform is what took this performance from an average school theatre producOon to something truly spectacular. With a long producOon Ome, it would have been understandable if some of the younger cast flagged, but not one performer tripped up or corpsed. Everyone at TCAH should be hugely proud of
this producOon. The professionalism of the leads and the supporOng cast shone out throughout the performance. Whispers on the ground are that this is a performance worthy of performing at the Edinburgh Fringe FesOval. The students at the City Academy are truly a talented cohort, and with the theatrical ability the cast of Made In Dagenham possess, the Fringe would not know what hit them. Perhaps something to watch out for in summer 2023… ‘Superb! Made me very proud to be a part of TCAH’ - Audience Member ‘Bravo! *****’ - Audience Member
