What’s New: Two grants are currently helping improve CCISD. The MIZ Grant (Math Innovation Zone) is intended to improve math scores and instruction through the implementation of blended learning. This school year, the Kindergarten, 3rd, & 6th grades are participating to be joined by the 1st, 4th, and 7th, then 2nd, 5th, & 8th in successive years. The READ Grant seeks to improve and enhance 2nd, 3rd, and 5th reading education; teaching new ELAR TEKS and effective instructional techniques & strategies. Everyday CCISD staff is working to prepare our students for life after a high school diploma.
