As part of each skin treatment you will receive an in-depth face mapping skin analysis. This will give you an insight as to why your skin is the way it is. We also can offer you the opportunity to see your skin under a UV skin scanner. We can measure your hydration levels. We will discuss your concerns and give you a full understanding of how to have the best skin you can.

As your skin changes from time to time, so will your treatment as our therapists thrive on seeing continuous results.

There is so much that goes into our treatments. Here is a little insight: double cleanse, face mapping skin analysis, extractions of comedones & milia (blackheads & whiteheads), speciality selected massage techniques, customisable botanicals, prescriptive complex and masque, eye care, moisturisation, and to finish SPF protection.

We will enhance your treatment with the use of electrical modalities (where appropriate) ranging from brush cleanse, ultra sonic, micro-current, galvanic (desincrustation & iontophoresis), high frequency, facial lifting, contouring, muscle stimulation, micro current, diamond micro dermabrasion, radio frequency and LED light (Light Emitting Diode technology).

Advanced skin treatments with MPL An in-depth leaflet is available from the salon regarding all our MPL treatments. A consultation and patch test is required for all MPL treatments. (MPL stands for “multi pulsed light”) How it works: MPL has two actions that help. Firstly, the redness of the skin absorbs the heat energy. The blood vessels responsible for the redness absorb the light energy which heats them up; disperses them naturally through the lymphatic system, thereby improving the appearance. Secondly, the light and heat energy from the additional radio frequency warms the collagen fibres in the skin. This stimulates new collagen and collagen remodelling. This improves the support of the small blood vessels which helps to delay the development of more thread veins and unwanted redness.

Rosacea - This is a relapsing condition and this treatment can drastically improve the appearance but does not cure the underlying condition of rosacea longer term, so you will need to come back occasionally for maintenance sessions.

PIGMENTATION/SUN DAMAGE TREATMENTS WITH MPL Light is drawn to the melanin (the colour) of the patch of pigmentation; the radio frequency follows the light down to the pigment adding extra heat to the target to break the pigment up. The pigment will flake of the skin, fully or partially over a period of a few weeks.

ACNE

Thread veins - MPL technology triggers the collapse of the veins and broken capillaries without doing any damage to the surrounding outer layers of the skin. It also improves the overall appearance of the skin by evening out skin tone and encouraging the production of collagen.

MPL technology is targeted directly to the location of the bacteria which causes breakouts. It destroys the bacteria and shrinks inflamed sebaceous glands that cause outbreaks of pustules. Together with radio frequency heating the skin around the breakouts it activates the skin’s fibroblast cells which stimulate collagen production to boost the healing process causing spots to disappear.

With all MPL treatments a course is necessary to enable results to be achieved. This will be discussed at the consultation appointment and a course plan will be devised with discounts. A non-refundable deposit of £45 will be taken to secure your course of treatments - this will be deducted from the final session.
