The Courtyard Café Bar offers great local produce presented in imaginative new dishes as well as more traditional offerings. head Chef Jan’s marvellous cakes, quiches and salads are justly famous!
“Ladies who lunch” REViEwED 10 July 2015
Other favourites include The Courtyard Burger and our delicious Fish pie. Back by popular demand, this season sees the return of aubergine Cannelloni, lamb Moussaka and the Seasonal pie of the Week, not forgetting the ever changing daily specials.
The Courtyard is one our favourite lunching places. The glass walled building fills with light. Furnishings are comfortable and clean. The ‘ladies who lunch’ usually spend a couple of hours there.
The Café Bar has something for everyone, so whether you are coming to a show, film or calling in for a light bite with friends; we hope to see you soon. Don’t forget that Courtyard Friends and patrons also collect loyalty points to offer even better value.
The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The pick and mix salads are fab - look colourful, are tasty and nutritious. The portion sizes are generous and hooray, a variety of gluten free dishes.

PANDORA VAuGhAN & JOE cARcARy GALLERy & uPPER CANyoN Pandora Vaughan makes work which often uses the language of what used to be known as 'the public arts' - object painting, textiles, assemblage, block printing & gardening. Some of these are nostalgic and some are futuristic. They all deal with land use, power and the occasional failure of collective memory in the public realm. Since 2003 she has collaborated with welsh architect huw owen to produce cross disciplinary art/architecture/landscape projects under the name V&o, mainly in North wales.
suZANNA REyNOlDs LowER CANyoN hereford-based Suzanna Reynolds makes reflective drawings which explore the idea of the viewer having precedence over the images within the drawing.
Georgie Meadows: Stitched drawings brings together a group of textile artworks which explore personal experiences of ageing and dementia. Meadows, a Monmouth based artist and occupational therapist, crafts uniquely affecting and compassionate portraits, translating line drawings of people she knows or has cared for into stitched works. Georgie Meadows: stitched Drawings is a welcome collection Touring Exhibition

support Mind The Gap! and help us raise £35,000 by April 2016 Did you know The Courtyard is open 360 days a year at a cost of £2,700 per day?
plaTinuM
with the pending loss of statutory funding that underpins The Courtyard from April 2016, we will soon be experiencing a significant ‘gap’ in our core income. As herefordshire’s arts hub, we have grown The Courtyard’s community work to a point where we are reaching thousands of local people every year. As The Courtyard extends this work, the costs also increase, and if we cannot sustain our projects they will not be able to continue.
GOlD
For this reason we have launched Mind The Gap! a campaign which will run until April 2016 to ensure continuation of our valuable community work and enable us to maintain our increasingly busy venue. Alongside a range of varied fundraising initiatives throughout the year, we need your buy-in to help make Mind The Gap! the most successful fundraising campaign we have ever run.
SilVEr
Mind The Gap! will help us sustain and develop the following work: community arts projects with older people - 7,500 attendances in 2014/15 youth projects - over 30,000 attendances in 2014/15 our building running costs of approx £1 million per annum
