Iâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;m going to The Courtyard to watch a film. The Courtyard is a big building with lots of glass that has a theatre, cinema and cafĂŠ inside. This is what it looks like from outside.

If I arrive by car, bus or bike then I go to the car park and see the building from behind which looks like thisâ&#x20AC;Ś

Inside the theatre, the people at Box Office will help me to pick up my tickets, if I havenâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t already got them.

I may have to wait in a queue but I wonâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t have to wait too long.

There will be drinks and biscuits inside the Studio Theatre. I can have some if I would like.

The film will be in the Studio Theatre which will look like this...

The film will start at 2.30pm but I can go into the Studio Theatre from 1.30pm to look around if I like.

There will be bean bags, sofas or chairs for me to sit on and I can sit where I would like.

When the film starts it will go a little bit darker (but not completely dark) and it will be a little noisy (but not too loud).

The film is called Lego Movie 2: The Second Part (U)

The film is about the heroes of Bricksburg who battle to defeat the LEGO DUPLO invaders from outerspace and restore harmony to the LEGO universe.

If I want to take a break from the film, I can leave the Studio Theatre and go to the Chill Out Area just outside. I can return to the Studio Theatre when I am ready. There will be colouring in and pens here which I can take back into the Studio Theatre if I would like to.

When the film has finished the lights will get a little brighter and I will leave the Studio Theatre.

Relaxed screenings are open to everyone but may benefit individuals with autism spectrum conditions, learning difficulties or sensory and communication difficulties or those who may benefit from a more relaxed environment. Visual aids for getting around the venue can be provided and a social story is also available to help familiarise audience members with the venue. Doors will open 45 minutes prior to the film starting and a chill out area will be available from 1 hour prior to the film starting that you can go to at any point if you need a break during the film Lights will remain on low throughout the film Seating is informal, with tables/chairs and bean bags Audience members will be free to move around or take some time out in our designated chill out room The Social Story will walk you through your visit so that you know what to expect when you arrive.
