STYLE PERSONIFIED
Suzy McDonald, Liliana Rogers and Karen Collins bring their unique flair and fashion sense to The Marine Village Sanctuary Cove.
FROM SWIMWEAR to designer labels; childrenswear to accessories, The Marine Village Sanctuary Cove offers clothing options for every age and occasion.
At the forefront are boutique owners Suzy McDonald, Liliana Rogers and Karen Collins – three women with a flair for fashion and an innate sense of style.
Cabana
Offering relaxed, effortless style in fashion and for your home, Cabana has been in The Marine Village for four years.
Owner Liliana Rogers has a passion for interiors and feels both fashion and interior design are the best artistic way of expressing oneself.
“There is nothing more empowering than finding ourselves in the garments we wear,” she says.
“I love offering my customers fashion that will make them feel and look effortlessly beautiful.”
Cabana labels include Layer’d, simple, sophisticated pieces you can incorporate as staples for work and into the weekend, and Shanty & Brave & True, an effortlessly chic and sustainable lifestyle brand with classic European aesthetics.
While Liliana says 2021’s neutral hues and earthy tones remain popular, the new season will see a pop of colour introduced.
“It's safe to say you should start getting excited about 2022 fashion,” says Liliana.
“With free-flowing, lightweight fabrics keeping our spirits high, the spring/ summer 2022 colour palette is selfcontradictory as it envelops quiet tones as well as bold colours."
Cabana Kids
Liliana also created Cabana Kids in December 2020.
“We carefully select high-end clothing designers from Australian designers that offer quality at affordable prices … beautiful fashion that inspires kids to dream,” she says.
“Think warm natural tones, responsibly sourced materials, quality organic garments, delightful children and babies clothing and accessories.”
Some of Cabana Kids’ favourite’s labels are:
Tutu Du Monde – Hand-crafted and hand-dyed with an old-world feel, each Tutu Du Monde piece is truly unique and perfect for all occasions, from playing dress-ups to being a flower girl.
Aster & Oak – A Western Australian children’s label, all their clothing is made using the purest 100% GOTS certified organic cotton so they are gentle on your baby’s skin and even gentler on our environment.
Wilson & Frenchy – This home-grown Australian brand offers the softest, highest quality organic cotton garments for premies, toddlers, and all sizes in between.
Rock Your Baby – Since launching in summer 2003, Rock Your Baby has designed and produced high quality, offbeat fashion for babies and kids.
Other brands on offer are Toshi, Seafolly Kids, Maaji, Camilla Kids, Tribe Tropical, Walnut Melbourne and more.
“Both Cabana and Cabana Kids offer handpicked fashion which is not massed-produced, giving our local customers exclusive choice of unique pieces you won’t see everywhere,” says Liliana.
It was 35 years ago that Suzy McDonald opened Sanctuary Cove Resort Shoppe to fulfil the fashion needs of all women.

There is also a selection of smart casual looks to choose from.
Sanctuary Cove Resort Shoppe’s range reflects an in-depth understanding of trends and consumer preferences from all over the world.
Their Canadian labels, Joseph Ribkoff and Frank Lyman, are worn by celebrities globally and offer exceptional quality and style.
Other labels on offer are Ping Pong, Wednesday Lulu, Philosophy, Yarra Trail, See Saw, Threadz and Gordon Smith.
There is also a large range of fascinators, bags and shoes to complete the outfit.
Suzy says the look for this season is fresh, with light linens and silks, and welcomes you to visit The Marine Village boutique to discover their latest range.
Calypso Resort & Swimwear
Some 21 years ago, Suzy also saw the need for the supply of a broad range of swimwear and resort wear – hence Calypso Resort & Swimwear was born.
Since then, Calypso has established itself as the leading swimwear store in south-east Queensland, offering styles to complement all shapes, sizes and occasions.
Calypso Resort & Swimwear stock a wide selection of quality brands including Jets, Seafolly, Baku, Sunseeker and Jantzen, plus Sunflair and Opera, which are premium European labels.
Suzy’s staff are trained to assist you with fitting and can help you choose the right style to flatter your shape.
Calypso also stocks a range of smart casual wear including luxurious embellished dresses which are perfect for the Queensland lifestyle.
In addition, there is a large selection of kaftans, wraps, shorts, sunglasses and rash vests, together with hats, beach bags, sandals and jewellery.
With travel and cruising now back on the agenda, Calypso can offer a suitable casual wardrobe for your holiday.
