PUT YOUR BEST FOOT FORWARD
Early detection and prevention is the primary role of Absolute Footcare’s experienced podiatrists in relation to children’s biomechanics.
ALL GOLFERS KNOW without correction the perfect swing will always remain elusive.
The same rule also applies for more simpler physical executions.
That is why, regardless of whether your children are going to be professional sports people, lawyers, doctors, plumbers or builders, it is incumbent on all parents to make sure their childrens’ biomechanics are corrected early.
Without early correction children can be at best depriving themselves of the greatest they can be in their chosen junior sporting fields and at worst doing irreparable damage to their bodies which will revisit them in later life.
As the foundations of their body, children’s feet can relate to problems as they age affecting the whole body including knees, hips and back.
Musculoskeletal problems experienced by parents or grandparents can be prevented in the next generation if we act early enough.
Absolute Footcare’s Podiatrists are university-trained health professionals who specialise in the prevention, diagnosis, investigation, treatment and rehabilitation of conditions of the feet and lower limbs.
This is often referred to as biomechanics.
Detection and prevention are key elements when it comes to foot health, and it is never too early to look for signs your children may benefit from seeing an experienced podiatrist to better their biometrics.
One of the most common conditions Absolute Footcare’s experienced podiatrists observe in children is Severs or children’s heel pain.
While they are growing, active children are at risk of pain at the growth plate at the back of their heel.
It is common in children aged between 8-14 years old and if they are experiencing this type of pain, children can stop being the best they can be in their chosen sporting endeavours or just stop being active with friends.
Regardless of our age we all deserve to walk with dignity and without pain.
Absolute Footcare’s podiatrists have been correcting Gold Coast childrens’ biomechanics for more than 20 years and are here to assist you and your family at three locations at Broadbeach, Southport and Runaway Bay. Call to make an appointment on (07) 5528 3226. absolutefootcare.com.au
