BRINGING SPACES TO LIFE
LUX LUXURY LIFESTYLES OWNER AND DESIGNER SUE ROBBIE HAS SPENT NEARLY A LIFETIME IN THE BUILDING INDUSTRY, CREATING UNIQUE AND TAILORED SPACES FOR RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL CLIENTS.
WHEN YOU WALK into a room designed by Lux Luxury Lifestyles, you may not realise it … at first.
There is no recognisable trend that dominates the spaces they create.
Design choices aren’t repeated from one project to the next. And that’s just how experienced designer Sue Robbie and her team of professionals like it.
Those who spend more time within a Lux Luxury Lifestyles designed space will start to uncover the brand’s signature – uniqueness.
The quality of their designs lies in their client-led style choices, which centres on using bespoke, natural and timeless pieces to help bring an individual’s vision to life.
A born creative, Sue brings decades of industry experience to Lux Luxury Lifestyles, with a design portfolio that includes multimillion-dollar residential properties, national commercial brands, luxurious superyachts, even a deluxe equine coach.
“We work very closely with our clients to get a real understanding of their personality, their style and the image and feeling they want to present in their spaces, so we can truly capture and reflect those in our design,” says Sue.
“Having our own product ranges, including specialising in the manufacturing of window treatments and customised furniture designs, allows us to create without limits.
“If our client can dream it, we can create it to suit any sized space.
“While we generally focus on using natural elements in our designs, like linen textiles, warm woods and metal sculptural elements, we also like to play up and amplify the individual style of each client with what we call a ‘chill room’ where we can have a bit of fun with the design.”
The Lux Luxury Lifestyles showroom in Bundall exemplifies the strength in their design, with many one-of-a-kind pieces, including the Interior Box Furniture Collection, which perfectly blends natural nude teaks with durable linen upholstery.
There are also stunning sculptures, copper floor lamps and supersized aluminium wall mirrors.
Perhaps the most eye-catching are the unique chandeliers the brand specialises in, which can be specifically designed and manufactured to fit and enhance any space.
“When designing a large space, there are often opportunities to create interest in open spaces, like high ceilings and void spaces, which is where our Special Pieces and chandeliers come into their own,” explains Sue.
“We’ve also developed high-quality linen products through Natural Fibre Textiles, which we use in our window treatments and soft furnishings, like our Zig n Dot bedding collection.
“We describe it as haute couture for your bed; it’s fully Australian-made and created to suit each project.
“Our Bundall studio is a textile library, we have an incredible range of textiles and wallpapers, from embroidered fabrics to touchable velvet, weighted linens suitable for upholstery to on-trend designs light enough for clothing.
“The studio is an experience in itself,” Sue adds.
“I encourage anyone thinking about creating a new space or reinvigorating an existing space to visit our displays and speak to our team directly.”
