EVERY ROOM HAS A VIEW AND A VER ANDA

In our view, all our guests are entitled to a great view, wherever they are on board. So we made sure that every stateroom – no matter what grade – has its own spacious, private veranda. Somewhere to sit on a sunny afternoon and watch the world go by. Or enjoy dinner for two under a starlit sky. DINE IN A CHOICE OF RESTAUR ANTS FOR FREE If you’ve an appetite for good food, you’re in for a treat. Dine in a choice of 11 different venues – including more alfresco areas than on any other ship of the same size. All serving complimentary wine and beer with lunch and dinner. Outstanding cuisine all included? We’ll drink to that.

MAMSEN’S Named after the mother of Viking’s Founder and Chairman, Torstein Hagen, Mamsen’s is home to all things deliciously Norwegian, including open sandwiches of smoked salmon, and homemade waffles with jam – served on vintage china, just like Mamsen’s.

ALTERNATIVE DINING Some cruise lines call them speciality restaurants, we call them alternative. That’s because you don’t pay extra to dine there, so they are a very real alternative. Reservations can be pre-booked before you cruise, with priority given to higher stateroom grades.

THE WORLD CAFÉ Japanese or French? Italian or Asian? Take a culinary journey around the world – with some of the best views in the world, thanks to sliding panoramic glass doors that lead on to the Aquavit Terrace®.

TABLE FOR TWO OR TABLE FOR 12? In all our restaurants you can sit where and with whom you wish. No formal seating, no formal dress code, and no inflexible times for sittings. It’s all about choice. Your choice. THE RESTAURANT Because the main restaurant should be just as wonderful as all the other restaurants, ours features dailychanging menus with chef’s specials, along with daily changing views, thanks to glass doors that open to offer spectacular, alfresco dining. MANFREDI’S Rare or well done? Both describe our traditional Italian steakhouse that serves authentic Italian food and wines in a traditional setting that is anything but medium.

12

AQUAVIT TERRACE Because one of the best ingredients of any meal is a sunny day, the Aquavit Terrace offers the perfect backdrop for dining alfresco. THE CHEF’S TABLE Indulge in a multi-course tasting menu with perfect wine pairing inspired by the lands through which you’re travelling. The Chef’s Table might very soon become your favourite table. THE POOL GRILL Handmade burger or pizza with your choice of delicious toppings. Cold beer? Crisp white wine? Lap it all up at The Pool Grill, it’s all included.

THE WINTERGARDEN Spring, summer, autumn and winter, this is the place to relax with an afternoon cup of tea, and delicate sandwiches and homemade cakes as you feast on the panoramic views. PRIVATE DINING For a special occasion or just because you feel like it, enjoy a dinner party for 10 in Manfredi’s private dining room or at the Chef’s Table. It won’t cost you a penny more. Now that’s worth toasting. 24-HOUR ROOM SERVICE Breakfast on your private veranda. Dinner and a movie in your room? Complimentary room service is just a phone call away.

“We found superb cuisine everywhere on board.”

RECHARGE IN THE SPA AT NO EXTR A CHARGE

when the sun goes down the stars come out

“The ship’s spa is the most gorgeous we’ve seen at sea. Services which include salon treatments from hair styling to pedicures, and a whole range of massage and facial options, are top notch. The Norwegian-influenced relaxation area comes complete with thalassotherapy pool, whirlpools, a snow grotto (big tip here: wear slippers!), Finnish sauna, heated tile loungers and a fireplace-like special effect; these areas are communally shared by all passengers. Locker rooms for men and women also have serene seating areas looking out at the sea, and cold-water pools. The best thing? You don’t have to buy a treatment to use the facilities. They’re complimentary – for all.” Cruise Critic, 2015 Images clockwise from top left: Hydrotherapy pool; heated loungers; Spa; snow grotto

DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY WITH BAR PRICES THAT ROCK On a Viking ocean cruise, when the sun goes down the stars come out. Like an intimate Soho jazz club, Torshavn is a welcoming nightspot where you can strut your stuff on the dance floor or find a cosy corner to relax. If you prefer, catch a film in the theatre or by the pool. Watch a show. Or while away the hours in the company of friends in one of the many inviting bars. Exploring the world has never been so much fun.

SAN JUAN BEACH STAY Enjoy more time in Puerto Rico’s exciting and vibrant capital before or after your cruise. The city was founded by Spanish colonists in 1521. Today, San Juan is still attracting visitors who are drawn to the tropical climate, the resorts and casinos that line the beautiful beaches, and the city’s fascinating history and diversity of cultures. Take your time to explore the historic Old Town of narrow, cobbled streets made of blue stone imported from Spain. The centuries-old neighbourhood has evolved from a military stronghold into a charming area of colourful restored colonial buildings. Pause for refreshment (Puerto Rico is famous for its fine rum) in one of the attractive plazas. The city enjoys a rich musical and artistic heritage, and boasts many fine galleries and museums. History buffs are sure to love exploring the city’s forts, including Fort San Cristóbal. Completed in 1783, it was considered the Gibraltar of the West Indies, and is one of the largest defences ever built in the Americas. If the beach is calling, head to the San Juan Beach and Resort area, just outside Old San Juan. You’ll find plenty of sun and sand, as well as chic boutiques, restaurants, nightclubs, casinos and hotels. It’s the perfect start – or end – to your Caribbean journey.
