Give Your Time We have a team of helpers who organise refreshments at school events, from Open Days, to Music Evenings, from the Carol Service to Sports Awards. This usually consists of nibbles and tea/coffee or wine depending on the event. We always need more volunteers and usually it is only for a couple of hours so if you’re good at putting crisps in a bowl, attaching cheese to grapes, or pouring drinks then you are the helper we’ve been looking for! On behalf of the school, the Crypt School Parent Teacher Association run a Uniform Shop for the sale of the official school uniform. The shop is open at the school from 1pm to 2pm every Monday throughout term time if you are able to help. We have a rota system so it is likely you will only be needed for an hour each term. Volunteers also run the Uniform Fitting Day for New Year 7s in the summer. Our Car Boot Sales are now one of the most popular in Gloucester and one of our biggest fundraisers of the year. Each sale is run by unpaid Crypt School Parent Teacher Association volunteers with every penny made going into school funds. We are always in need of volunteers so please contact us if you are able to help with taking money or directing cars. Join The 200 Club Monthly Draw Purchase as many numbers as you like (£1 a number) and you are put into a monthly draw for cash prizes. The 200 club particularly suits parents who want to support the Crypt School PTA but live just too far away to help out at functions. You can gift aid this if you are a UK tax payer and the Crypt School PTA will be able to claim 25% back from HM Revenue & Customs. Easy Fundraising Website (You shop, the school benefits) Simply register with www.easyfundraising.org.uk and say you want to support the “Crypt School Association”. Then anytime you go shopping, visit their website and click through to your favourite shops (such as John Lewis, M&S, Dominos, Travelodge, etc). Once you purchase something the shops make a cash donation to the Crypt School Parent Teacher Association. It won’t cost you a single extra penny but it could raise a lot of money to support the school. Save Your Foreign Coins When you come back from holiday abroad and you’ve got a few spare coins (or notes) left over that the bureau de change won’t deal with, send them into school. Once we’ve collected enough we can exchange them for cash to support the school. Don’t forget, you can also canvas other family members, friends and neighbours. Recycle Your Printer Cartridges And Old Mobile Phones We recycle printer cartridges and old mobile phones through the Recycle 4 Charity scheme. The PTA will get £1 per cartridge, so if you have used cartridges please send them into school Reception and they will pass them on to us. Mobile phones can also be recycled for cash if you have any old ones lying about.

200 Club The 200 Club is a monthly draw which takes place at the Crypt School PTA meeting. Out of the money collected each month, around half is paid out in prizes and the rest goes into the school to directly benefit our children. How Does It Work? Once you join, you are allocated a number (or numbers) and that number stays with you for as long as you participate. Each number costs £1 each month and there is no limit to how many numbers you can purchase. Payment can be made by a standing order or a cheque or cash paid annually in advance. Who Can Join? Anyone really. It’s a great way for Mums and Dads, Grandparents and other family and friends to support the students and in return get a chance of winning some cash! It’s also a way of supporting the school if you don’t live locally and so can’t help at other events the Crypt School PTA put on for the school. What Are The Prizes? Each month all the numbers allocated are put into a draw. Half the money received is given away in prize money, with the number of prizes varying depending on how many numbers have been sold. First prize is £50, with smaller prizes down to £10. How Can I Join? It’s easy. Simply complete the standing order form hand or post to the School Reception marked for the attention of the 200 Club Administrator. If you would prefer to pay by cash or cheque, please include this with the form with only your details on it, made payable to “The Crypt School Association 200 Club”. You can also set up payment with your online banking, just send us an email letting us know and we will look out for your payment. What Happens Then? We’ll confirm that your application has been accepted and let you know your number/s. If you win, we will write to you enclosing a cheque. Good Luck and thanks for supporting us!
