Pastoral support - in school and external
The school employs a School Counsellor who is in school twice a week offering pupils regular appointments and working with specific year groups or groups of students to support them through challenges they may encounter, eg: exam stress. Likewise, we have weekly visits by the School Nurse. The school also employs an Educational Welfare Officer to provide support on all issues to do with student attendance and wellbeing. Each Year Group of the school is overseen by a dedicated member of the pastoral team (Hannah Attwood for year 9) who can be found in the Pastoral Support room where students can visit whenever they need to.
