HER MOTIVATION After graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree, the journey to finding a job proved to be very difficult. I kept getting rejection emails. The reason was always that, ‘I didn’t have enough experience.’ One day I was presented with the opportunity to design websites for a business development agency. It motivated me to use my talent to start a business.
HER CHALLENGES
Yes! I experienced many setbacks. I didn’t immediately quit my job to pursue entrepreneurship. I used it to supplement my income. At first, I couldn’t dedicate all my time to my growing business. I struggled to “put myself out there.” I was nervous about being rejected. My mindset towards pursuing new clients was more toxic than embracing the process itself.
HER INSPIRATION My greatest inspiration is Jesus himself. I had to learn how to shed the shame of my past and allow God to heal me. The greatest thing about Christ is that He’s bold, always willing to give, and unconditionally loves everyone.
HER HOPE People will gain an opportunity to discuss their most heart-wrenching desires and concerns about their brand. The opportunity to come up with a creative design and marketing strategy is available.

My greatest inspiration came from meeting Oprah Winfrey face to face and visiting her Leadership Academy for Girls in Johannesburg, South Africa. Being in her presence gave me a glimpse of the true meaning of possibilities and perseverance.

HER CHALLENGES After the death of my sister Brenda, I fell into a deep stage of depression. Deciding to adopt her son was the best thing I could ever do to support my sisters legacy.
HER GREATEST INSPIRATION My sisters have always been my inspiration. I am the youngest of seven children, and before I reached age 32, I had lost three of my sisters to death. Two died as the result of drug addiction, and the other died from complications from Myotonic Dystrophy. My sisters were my surrogate mother, and they took great care of me. The loss of my sister Brenda who died at the young age of 38, reminded me that life was valuable, and having the ability to walk, talk, see, dance is a blessing that I had been taking for granted.

Yes, ME. I was the set-back, the challenge. I had to stop seeing myself as those who had no value for me, saw me. Society says I was “less than” because of my race, my gender, my complexion. I had to find the ME, who GOD said that I was, and start believing in who He had created me to be. Baeeebaayyy…once I started talking good to myself and lining my words and thoughts to my heavenly Father. That’s when the journey became a bit clearer.

My only inspiration has been and continues to be my three sons. I was 17 when I had my first and 22 when I had my third. Now I have my youngest as my business partner, my middle is a Medic One first responder, and my oldest owns his own successful tattoo business. They still inspire me.

I had to fire employees, coaches, deal with financial challenges, sacrifice my relationships, and sleep. Anyone who says starting a business is easy is wrong. When you fall off the path, you must jump right back on it, even if no one else is there to push you.

My greatest inspiration is my three children and my mom for never giving up on me. My father helped me get my voice back. My best friend since 6th grade sacrificed so much for me. I didn’t even know that until the next day upon hearing, Anthony Bourdain has committed suicide three days after Kate Spade. God dropped the title of my book right into my ear at that moment, and the entire movement was born.
HER CHALLENGES I had my self-bullying moments when I worried that too many people worked on trying to help with the same thing. I had built an incredible tribe of WOW (War On Words) Warrior, and one of them came to MY rescue. She told me God would give this mission to many as He knows some will not obey and carry it out. Ironic that I conquered some self-bullying while attempting to help others conquer it.
HER GREATEST INSPIRATION Since I started my business, the greatest inspiration is to have realized how many powerful and gifted women are in this world!

“My family.” In the 1940s, my paternal grandmother founded a PURPOSE. nondenominational holy order, now known as The Spiritual Guidance Temple of Truth. Growing up, my father oversaw (and now my brother) the Family Church. We also owned a candle shop. After the death of my parents, I questioned my purpose. It wasn’t until I healed from my past that I clearly saw my divine purpose and truly started operating in my gifts.

“Of course!” I’ve had failed businesses, failed launches, horrible contracts, but those are the things that people aren’t talking about on social media.
