Who’s Opening and Where Whole Foods Market, Inc. (512-477-4455) plans to open a Whole Foods Market in a former Circuit City located at the intersection of 196th Street Southwest and 28th Avenue West in Lynnwood, WA. The store is slated to open early next year. The company also plans to open a store in a former Havertys Furniture at The Shops at Arbor Trails, located at the intersection of South MoPac Boulevard/ Loop 1 and William Cannon Drive in Austin, TX. The store will join Costco at the center and is slated to open during the fall. The company also plans to open a 52,000 sq.ft. store at the intersection of 3rd Avenue and 3rd Street in the Gowanus area of Brooklyn, NY. The store will feature a 20,000 sq.ft. greenhouse growing organic produce. The opening will be the company’s first in the borough and is slated for late next year. The company currently operates 270 locations nationwide and throughout the United Kingdom. Cabela’s, Inc. (308-254-5505) plans to open a 185,000 sq.ft. Cabela’s at Springfield Mall, located in Springfield, OR, during the spring. The store will be the company’s first in the state and will be located adjacent to Home Depot. The company currently operates 4,000 locations nationwide, along with 200 smaller-footprint Walmart Neighborhood Market stores. AutoZone, Inc. Uniqlo (212-221-9037) plans to open more than 200 apparel stores nationwide by 2020. Planned openings include a location along Fifth Avenue in New York, NY slated for this year, which will be the company’s second in the U.S. The company is also considering sites in San Francisco, CA; Chicago, IL and Boston, MA. The company plans to open 80 locations nationwide and internationally by August of this year, and currently operates 940 locations worldwide. Sunflower Farmers Market (303-5304809) will open a grocery store at Roseville Square, located at the intersection of Harding Boulevard and Douglas Boulevard in Roseville, CA.
