Who’s Opening and Where Cabela’s, Inc. (308-254-5505) will open an 80,000 sq.ft. Cabela’s store at Southridge Centre, located in Charleston, WV, as part of a plan to open six to seven locations during the year. The store is slated to open during late summer. The company operates 34 locations, offering hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, boating and other outdoor-related equipment, apparel and gear, as well as gifts and furnishings, nationwide and in Canada.
CVS Caremark Corp. (877-265-7325) plans to open a 13,000 sq.ft. CVS pharmacy with a drive-thru in a space currently tenanted by Rite Aid at a 67,200 sq.ft. center situated on 1.5 acres at the intersection of Harvard Avenue and Brighton Avenue in Allston, MA. The Rite Aid is slated to close during the spring, with CVS to open at the site during the fall. The company currently operates more than 7,200 pharmacies nationwide.
Saks, Inc. (212-940-5305) will open a Saks Fifth Avenue store at Merrimack Premium Outlets, a 430,000 sq.ft. outlet center currently under construction along Industrial Drive in Manchester, NH. The mall is slated to open during June, with tenants including Nike, Gap, Hanes, Banana Republic, Reebok, Brooks Brothers, J. Crew, Coach, Guess, Timberland, OshKosh B’Gosh, Bose and Ecko. Construction on the store, which will be the company’s first in the area, is slated to begin during the spring with an opening projected for the summer. The company also plans to open a two-story, 10,225 sq.ft. Urban Outfitters in a former Gavrel Furs at the intersection of Foch Street and West Seventh Street in Ft. Worth, TX. The company currently operates more than 140 locations nationwide, as well as internationally, trading as Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Free People, BHLDN, Leifsdottir and Terrain. Macy’s, Inc.
