Who’s Opening and Where Kohl’s Corp. (512-477-4455) plans to open a Kohl’s department store at The Exchange at Home Place, located at the intersection of Cobbs Ford Road and U.S. Highway 82 in Prattville, AL. The store is slated to open during October, and will be the company’s second in the area along with a store located at The Shoppes at East Chase along Berryhill Road in Montgomery, AL. The company currently operates 1,059 stores nationwide throughout 49 states.
7-Eleven, Inc. (972-828-0711) plans to open 20 7-Eleven convenience stores throughout Monterey, Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties in CA during the next two years. The company is considering non-traditional locations, including endcaps of strip centers and former gas stations, in addition to new construction. The company is also remodeling all locations in northern CA during the next three years to include upgrades to paint, lighting, technology and safety equipment.
Euromarket Designs, Inc. (847-272-2888) plans to open CB2 stores in Santa Monica, CA and Atlanta, GA later this year. The company recently closed a store located along Lincoln Avenue in Chicago, IL and opened a store in Miami, FL. The company trades as Crate & Barrel and CB2 at 160 locations nationwide.
Burlington Coat Factory Warehouse Corp. (609-387-7800) will open a 64,000 sq.ft. Burlington Coat Factory at Marshfield Plaza, a 454,000 sq.ft. retail center located at the intersection of 119th Street and Interstate 57 in Chicago, IL. Dick’s Sporting Goods, Inc. (724-273-3400) plans to open a Dick’s Sporting Goods store at CentrePoint Marketplace in Meridian, ID during the spring as part of a plan to enter the Pacific Northwest market. In addition to the ID location, the company will open six stores in WA and seven in OR. All openings will be in former Joe’s Sports, Outdoors and More locations.
Big Y Foods, Inc. (413-784-0600) plans to open two Big Y supermarket locations this year while renovating five existing stores.
The company recently acquired New Milford Pharmacy, a drug store located in New Milford, CT and closed a Big Y Supermarket located along Boston Road in Springfield, MA.
