Who’s Opening and Where Kirkland’s, Inc. (731-668-2444) plans to open between 15 and 20 Kirkland’s locations this year, with most opening during the second half of the year, while closing between 35 and 40. The company closed 22 of the home goods stores during the fourth quarter of 2008, bringing the current store count to 299. Hermes International SCA (212-759-7585) plans to open or renovate 20 Hermes locations nationwide and internationally this year. The stores feature luxury silk and leather fashion accessories in addition to jewelry, watches and fragrances.

Ulta Salon, Cosmetics & Fragrance, Inc. (630-410-4800) plans to open 35 Ulta stores this year. The company recently opened locations in Fort Smith, AR; Kissimmee and Miami Beach, FL; Manchester and Natick, MA; Jacksonville, NC and Toledo, OH. The company currently operates 311 of the salons, also selling cosmetics and fragrances, nationwide.

PriceRite Supermarket (860-571-6566) will open a 40,000 sq.ft. Price Rite Supermarket location along Kenmore Avenue in Buffalo, NY. The company recently entered the Buffalo market, opening a store in Stuyvesant Plaza during March.

Equinox Holdings, Inc. (212-774-6386) is slated to open Equinox Fitness Clubs in Boston, MA and Dallas, TX this year. The Boston location, the company’s second in the city, will open this spring. Jack in the Box, Inc. (858-571-2121), through a franchisee, is slated to open a Qdoba Mexican Grill location in a shopping center located at the intersection of Silver Springs Road and William Street in Cape Girardeau, MO during the summer. The 2,400 sq.ft. fast-casual restaurant will feature signature burritos as well as quesadillas, taco salads, nachos, tacos and other Mexican dishes, and will feature indoor and patio seating. The franchisee also plans to open locations in Marion, IL and Paducah, KY. The company currently operates 481 locations nationwide, with 341 operated under franchise agreement. Nordstrom, Inc.
