WHO’S OPENING AND WHERE Dunkin’ Brands (781-737-3000), through franchisee Midwest Mocha, is planning to open Dunkin’ Donuts locations throughout Appleton and Neenah/Menasha, WI during spring 2015. The franchisor, through two franchisees, is also slated to open 20 locations throughout South Orange and San Fernando Valley, CA during the next several years. The company, serving coffee, donuts and breakfast sandwiches, operates more than 11,000 locations throughout 33 countries. Cabela’s, Inc. (308-254-5505) is planning to open an 88,000 sq.ft. Cabela’s store along Walden Avenue, near Walden Galleria, in Cheektowaga, NY during the fall. It will be the company’s first location in the state. The chain, offering hunting, fishing, camping, hiking and other outdoor-related equipment, apparel and gear, currently operates more than 51 locations nationwide, and also has plans to open an additional 21 locations during the next two years. Target Corp. (612-304-6073) is planning to open a 135,000 sq.ft. Target store at University Station, a mixed-use development situated on 130 acres in Westwood, MA during March 2015. The company will join Wegmans and Nordstrom Rack at the site. The chain, offering apparel, toys, housewares, pet supplies and electronics, currently operates more than 1,797 locations nationwide and more than 122 stores throughout Canada. Trader Joe’s Co. (626-599-3700) is planning to open a 9,800 sq.ft. Trader Joe’s supermarket at the site of a former Fresh Market in Cottonwood Heights, UT during 2015. It will be the company’s second location in the state. The chain, offering more than 3,000 items under its private label, currently operates nearly 400 specialty grocery stores throughout 36 states nationwide.

Nordstrom, Inc. (206-628-2111) is planning to open a 30,000 sq.ft. Nordstrom Rack store at University Crossing, located at the intersection of University Parkway and State Street in Orem, UT during spring 2015. The company will join Burlington Coat Factory at the shopping center. The chain offers apparel, footwear and accessories for men and women, and currently operates more than 260 locations nationwide throughout 36 states, trading as Nordstrom at 117 locations, Nordstrom Rack at 147 locations, Jeffrey boutique at two locations and one clearance outlet. Hi-Health (800-266-2323) recently opened a 3,700 sq.ft. new concept store at Tatum Ranch in Cave Creek, AZ. The concept incorporates a store-within-a-store that allows customers to interact and learn more about health supplement products. The company currently operates 46 locations throughout the greater Phoenix, AZ area. LF, LLC. (877-465-6937) is planning to open a 150,000 sq.ft. Lowe’s Home Improvement store along Connecticut Avenue in Norwalk, CT during early 2015. The company, offering appliances and tools, paint, lumber and outdoor products, currently operates locations nationwide, as well as internationally. BodyBrite (212-724-4272) plans to open franchised locations throughout Canada, with a focus on the Calgary, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver markets, with its first location slated to open later this year. The company offers hair removal services and related products and currently operates more than 200 locations worldwide.

Kiddie Academy International, Inc. (800554-3343) is currently developing 30 Kiddie Academy learning academies, with 15 to 20 new locations slated to open annually. The company operates 120 child education facilities throughout 23 states, including two company-owned locations. Grant’s Supermarket (304-324-2260) is planning to open a grocery store in Galax, VA. The company currently operates 11 locations throughout southwest VA and southern WV. Express, Inc.
