Planned openings include 24 restaurants throughout Queens and Westchester counties in NY and Fairfield County in CT during the coming six years; 12 locations throughout Cincinnati, OH; seven restaurants, through franchisee American Food Services Group, LLC, throughout Duval County, FL during the coming four years; 10 locations, with franchisee Compleat Hospitality Management, LLC, throughout Birmingham, AL and New Orleans, LA, and 10 units throughout Charlotte, NC. The company is slated to open 85 locations nationwide by year’s end, as part of a plan to operate 500 restaurants nationwide within the next several years. The company currently operates 100 locations nationwide. The Kroger Co. (513-762-4000) plans to open a 123,000 sq.ft. Kroger supermarket in a former Scott’s at Village at Coventry, located at the intersection of Interstate 69 and Jefferson Boulevard in Ft. Wayne, IN. Family Dollar Stores, Inc. (704-847-6961) plans to open more than 12 Family Dollar stores throughout the Central Valley area of CA, as part of a plan to open 300 locations this year. Planned openings include 8,000 sq.ft. stores in Avenal, Coalinga, Wasco, Hanford, Corcoran, Firebaugh, Sanger, Reedley, Parlier, Fresno, Kerman, Tulare, Woodlake, Exeter and Farmersville, among others, and the company may open as many as eight units in Fresno. The stores will mark the company’s entry into the state. The company operates more than 6,800 stores nationwide throughout 44 states. CBRL Group, Inc. (615-444-5533) plans to open a 9,000 sq.ft. Cracker Barrel restaurant at Tulsa Hills Shopping Center, located along South Olympia Avenue in Tulsa, OK. The opening will be the company’s second in the city. The restaurant is slated to open during October or November and will join McDonald’s, Arby’s, Chick-fil-A, Logan’s Roadhouse, Buffalo Wild Wings and Smashburger at the center. Staples also plans to open a store at the site. The company currently operates 600 locations nationwide throughout 42 states, including seven in OK. Recreational Equipment, Inc.
