Who’s Opening and Where Walmart, Inc. (800-925-6278) plans to open four Walmart Supercenter stores in San Antonio, TX. Three are slated to open during 2013 and are located at Foster Road and Binz Engleman; Woodlawn Road and Bandera Road and Leslie Road and Bandera Road. The fourth store, located at Wurzbach Parkway and Blanco Road, is slated to open during 2014. The company is also planning to open a Walmart Neighborhood Market along Sixth Avenue in Decatur, AL by the end of the year. Hy-Vee, Inc. (515-267-2800) plans to open an 87,000 sq.ft. Hy-Vee supermarket at the intersection of Hickman Road and Alice’s Road in Waukee, IA. The store is slated to open during spring 2013.The company is also planning to open a convenience store and car wash, slated to open this fall. Harris Teeter (800-432-6111) is planning to open a 53,000 sq.ft. supermarket at Memorial Commons, located along Wayne Memorial Drive at U.S. Route 70 bypass in Goldsboro, NC. The store is slated to open during late 2013 and will join Office Depot, Subway and T-Mobile at the site. Menchie’s Group, Inc. (818-708-0316) plans to open four Menchie’s yogurt shops in the greater Triad region of NC by the end of 2013. The locations will range in size from 1,400 sq.ft. to 1,800 sq.ft. Sheetz, Inc. It will be the company’s third location in the Tampa area. Starbucks Coffee Co. The chain, offering baked goods, currently operates 19 locations throughout the San Francisco Bay, CA area. Levin Furniture Co. Walgreens Co. (800-925-4733) is planning to open a 25,000 sq.ft. Walgreens store at the site of the former Freedom Museum in Tribune Tower along Michigan Avenue in Chicago, IL. The store is slated to open during summer 2013 and will feature a Take Care Clinic and on-site beauty consultations. The company is also planning to convert 200 stores to the new format by the end of the year. The Ground Round Grill & Bar (617-3803100) plans to open five to six restaurants in NJ, three in MI and one in WI. The restaurants will open later this year and during 2013. The company currently operates 25 locations in 12 states. Yoshinoya America, Inc. (310-527-6060) is planning to open several Asiana Grill Yoshinoya restaurants by 2013.
