Who’s Opening and Where Forever 21, Inc. (213-741-5100) will open a 14,000 sq.ft. Forever 21 store at Mall of Acadiana, located in Lafayette, LA. The apparel store is slated to open during the fall, and will join JCPenney at the center. The company will also open a two-story, 23,000 sq.ft. XXI location at Sunvalley Shopping Center, located in East Bay, CA. The store will combine three existing stores at the center: Forever 21, For Love 21 and Heritage 1981, into a single, larger space. Jessica McClintock and A’GACI also plan to open locations at the center, slated to open during late summer or early fall and 2011, respectively. The company currently operates 480 locations nationwide as well as throughout Canada, Puerto Rico, Korea and Japan. Marco’s Franchising, LLC (419-885-7000), through a franchisee, plans to open 170 Marco’s Pizza locations throughout CA during the next several years. Potential openings are being considered in Sacramento, Stockton, East Bay, Fremont, Monterey, San Jose, Santa Rosa, Fresno, Bakersfield, Eureka, San Luis Obispo and Simi Valley. Diversified Restaurant Holdings, Inc. (248223-9160), as a franchisee, will open a Buffalo Wild Wings location in Ft. Myers, FL, as part of a plan to operate 38 restaurants throughout FL and MI by 2017. The restaurant is slated to open during November and will be the company’s sixth in the state. The company currently operates 384 locations, offering apparel, shoes and accessories, nationwide throughout 30 states.

The Kroger Co. (513-762-4000) plans to open a Kroger store at University Plaza, located in Corryville, OH. The store is slated to open by fall 2011. Walgreens is also scheduled to open at the site. The company is also slated to open a location along Midlothian Turnpike in Richmond, VA, as well as remodel existing stores located along South Laburnum Avenue, North Lombardy Street, Mechanicsville Turnpike, West Broad Street and Willow Lawn Drive in Richmond. Construction on the new store is slated to begin late this year and is expected to be completed by late 2011.
