Who’s Opening and Where Forever 21, Inc. (213-741-5100) plans to open a 22,500 sq.ft. Forever 21 store in a former Borders at Southland Center, a 900,000 sq.ft. center located in Taylor, MI. The company will join Macy’s, Best Buy and JCPenney at the site. The stores target young women and offer trendy clothing, including blouses, shirts, graphic tees, denim, shoes, accessories, lingerie and jewelry, at low price points.

Icebreaker (866-363-7466) plans to open a 1,200 sq.ft. TouchLab store at Bethesda Row in Bethesda, MD during March 2013.

The company, based out of New Zealand and offering a complete line of pure merino wool apparel, including fitness, travel and children’s clothes, socks and accessories, operates eight TouchLab locations in North America, including Portland, OR; New York, NY; San Francisco and San Jose, CA, as well as Montreal and Vancouver in Canada.

Cabela’s, Inc. (308-254-5505) plans to open a 110,000 sq.ft. Cabela’s store along Christiana Road, adjacent to the Christiana Mall, in Christiana, DE during 2014. It will be the company’s first location in DE. The company is also planning to open an 80,000 sq.ft. Cabela’s store at The Falls, a 1.5 million sq.ft. center located in Bristol, VA during 2014. The company currently operates 38 locations nationwide, as well as in Canada.

Nordstrom, Inc. (206-628-2111) plans to open a 38,000 sq.ft. Nordstrom Rack store along Boylston Street in the Back Bay section of Boston, MA during spring 2013.

The company currently operates more than 228 locations nationwide, under the trade names Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, Jeffrey boutique and treasure&bond.

Buffalo Wild Wings (952-593-9943), under franchisee Sunshine Restaurant Corp., plans to open four locations in Puerto Rico by 2016, with the first restaurants slated to open during 2013.The company, offering wings, sandwiches, salads and burgers, currently operates more than 835 restaurants nationwide, as well as in Canada.

Burgatory (412-781-1456) plans to open a 4,200 sq.ft. restaurant at Gardens of Market Square in Pittsburgh, PA during summer 2014. It will be the company’s third location in Pittsburgh.

Beef ‘O’ Brady’s (813-226-2333) plans to open three to four locations in Albuquerque, NM during the next two years. The company currently operates 213 restaurants nationwide.

Lease Signings

Urban Outfitters, Inc. (215-454-5500) plans to open 51 stores during 2013, including 18 Urban Outfitter stores, 15 Free People stores, 16 Anthropologie locations, 1 BHLDN store and one Terrain stores. The company also plans to open an Urban Outfitters at the Arnstein building off Market Square in Knoxville, TN during spring 2013. The company operates 1,400 locations nationwide and internationally, trading as Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Free People and Terrain.

Dunkin’ Brands (781-737-3000), under franchisees, plans to open 10 Dunkin’ Donuts throughout northern NV, and throughout KS and TX during 2014. The company is also planning to double its store count nationwide during the coming 20 years, including expanding into the Phoenix, AZ, Denver, CO and Las Vegas, NV markets.

The company currently operates more than 10,083 locations worldwide.

Pier 1 Imports (817-252-8000) plans to open a 9,701 sq.ft. store at Bel Aire Plaza in Napa, CA during 2013. The home decor store will join Chico’s and Umpqua Bank at the center.

The company, offering candles, textured carvings, woven textiles, dinnerware and housewares, currently operates over 1,000 locations throughout North America.

Trader Joe’s (626-599-3700) plans to open a 15,000 sq.ft. supermarket at Queen Anne View in Seattle, WA during 2014. The company currently operates more than 365 locations throughout 31 states nationwide.

Dick’s Sporting Goods (877-846-9997) plans to open a store at the Chico Mall in Chico, CA during 2013. The company also plans to open a 48,000 sq.ft. store at Kohl’s-Trader Joe’s Center in Redding, CA. Hibbett Sporting Goods, Inc.
