The store is slated to open by next spring, joining Bed Bath & Beyond, Pier 1 Imports and JCPenney at the center. The company also plans to open a 25,000 sq.ft. T.J. Maxx store at Aroostook Centre Mall, located in Presque Isle, ME. The store is slated to open next spring and will join Rent-A-Center and Trader Joe’s. The opening will be the company’s eighth in the state. The company currently operates 2,700 locations nationwide under the T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods and A.J. Wright trade names. Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Inc. The first location is slated to open next year, with the remaining three to open by 2016. The company currently operates 9,700 locations nationwide and internationally throughout 31 countries. The store is slated to open late this year and will be the company’s third in the city. The company currently operates 85 locations nationwide.

Ground Round Independent Owners Cooperative (207-865-4433), through a franchisee, will open a Ground Round restaurant in a former Bennigan’s along West River Road North in Elyria, OH. The restaurant is slated to open by December. The company also plans to open restaurants in Langhorne, PA; Brookings, SD and Spencer, IA this year, and currently operates 24 locations nationwide throughout 10 states. Kirkland’s, Inc. (731-668-2444) will open between 15 and 20 net new Kirkland’s locations during its 2011 fiscal year, having opened seven stores and closed six existing locations during the second quarter of the year. The company operates 1,380 restaurants, trading as Panera Bread, St. Louis Bread Co. and Paradise Bakery & Café, throughout 40 states nationwide, as well as Canada. Trader Joe’s Co. Family Dollar Stores, Inc. (704-847-6961) plans to open 300 Family Dollar stores nationwide during the company’s fiscal year between this month and August of next year. The company also plans to renovate 900 existing stores, and currently operates 7,000 locations nationwide throughout 44 states.

Swiss Farms Stores (610-356-2070), through franchisee Lang Family Farms, will open at least five locations throughout the Charlotte, NC market during the coming five years. Construction on the first store is slated to begin during the fall. The company also, through franchisee Cariello Family Grocers, will open at least six locations throughout the Raleigh, NC market.

CBRL Group, Inc. (615-444-5533) plans to open a 10,400 sq.ft. Cracker Barrel restaurant at Southern Tier Crossing, located in Horseheads, NY. The location is slated to open during April, joining Texas Roadhouse at the center. The company currently operates 600 locations nationwide throughout 42 states.
