Who’s Opening and Where Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (479-273-4000) is planning to open a Walmart Neighborhood Market in Beaverton, OR next month. The company is also planning to open three Walmart stores throughout AZ, including two 40,000 sq.ft. Walmart Neighborhood Markets in Tuscon, with one located at the intersection of Broadway and Camino Seco and a second location at Golf Links and Kolb. Both Tucson stores are slated to open during summer 2013. The third store, a Walmart Supercenter, will be located at El Con Mall and is slated to open during late 2013. The company currently operates more than 9,000 locations nationwide and internationally throughout 15 countries. Ross Stores, Inc. (925-965-4400) is slated to open a 25,000 sq.ft. Ross Dress for Less store at East Peoria Downtown, located in Peoria, IL. The company, offering coffee and a variety of pastries, plans to open five locations throughout the U.S. during 2013, and currently operates two locations in southern CA, as well as at 600 locations internationally. Mathis Bros. Furniture (918-461-7700) plans to open seven Ashley Furniture HomeStore locations throughout the greater Oklahoma City and Tulsa, OK markets. The first store, scheduled to open during February, will occupy 30,000 sq.ft. of a former Linens ‘n Things in Owasso. In addition, the company plans to open locations next year in Norman, Tulsa Hills, and Oklahoma City followed by three openings during 2014.
