ASU Visitors Center The ASU Visitors Center is a manifestation of the values Michael Crow has embodied in this New American University. Therefore, words like research, learning, discovery, and openness are some of the values that this visitors center is embodying itself. Ideas of contrast - heavy and light, thick and thin, transparent and opaque - are the architectural moves made to fulfill these values in the visitors center. As ASU is leading the way in innovation and as a New American University, it - like this - is becoming a gem amongst the rocks.

Above: Exhibit space showing interactive media columns. Columns involve research, learning, and discovery. Middle: Exhibit space transformed into reflection/history space. The columns are moved and exposes the central atrium with the infinity pool as a metaphor for the beginnings of the campus. Below: Outdoor terrace view. Unlike the digital world below, this outdoor terrace is surrounded by vegetation and offers views to A Mountain, Wells Fargo Arena, and other campus buildings.
