Collected here are renderings of a computer model, and photographs of a sectional 3D printed model that represent one possible Visitors Center for the New American University. They feature an immersive spherical exhibit space with programmable projections on upper and lower hemispheres divided by a glass floored platform. They also feature an auditorium that telescopes for open and closed environments. Two other blocks house a cafe and a classroom. Not to be overlooked is the solar array canopy-- a steel cable network, which holds in tension a composite of solar collecting panels, and acrylic panels to harvest power and rainwater as well as provide shade. The ground level is meant to be kept as open as possible and the canopy is guided by sustainability principles. Another painstaking effort was made to keep the project as innovative as possible, in keeping with the vision of ASU and the New American University.
