COHABITATION In addition to the Audubon Center located east of Central,the structure adds to the habitat restoration area attracting the surrounding community and outside visitors to immerse themselves in the natural environment that is regrowing. With this new space the goal is to provide harmonious shelter mitigating the tension between nature and mankind for those who enter. Integrating both architecture and habitat within the building explores A new human and animal relationship and connections to the surrounding environment. Providing this shared space for not only people but the natural flora and fauna that exists promotes a social atmosphere for interdependence versus isolation.
