There needs to be an opportunity for those who lack access to fresh food in their area: an ambience created amongst urban lifestyles that enhances desert living in efficient and aesthetic ways. An interconnected, multi-use park system holds a promise for residents of all ages, status, and ethnicity. Utilizing the canal system, agriculture and urban farming will create a pathway of connections. 33

Not only will Phoenix benefit from one open space, but several, all connected through different parts of the valley, redevoloping vacant lots and wasted 54 space. Urban farms will be a major stepping stone in developing wholesome communities, using the technology of hydroponics to cultivate the desert landscape, and provide learning opportunities for the public. synthesis 5 thesis 4

This system will reach to various public institutions such as schools and libraries to maximize public education while also reviving an appreciation for the landscape with renovating production for the future. Over years to come, the entire valley will be playing different roles in contributing to redevelop a sprawled city, contributing to the greater good. thesis 5
Transformation and growth of Phoenix begins with unification of culture from the city core to the outstretches of urban sprawl and food deserts. The connection of a park system will enhance the community by closing the gaps of separation with beneficial production.
