‘Rain Garden’ Scottsdale Canal Convergence 2018
‘Rain Graden’ is an interactive installtion piece. Users experience the sensation of walking through a field of rain drops suspended in time, and are invited to brush their hand through the reeds that light up blue as they walk through.
The overarching goal of the project was to explore the + the storm experience of the Phoenix area’s iconic monsoon storms through interactive installations or “artifacts.” Through research at Tonalea K-8 (Scottsdale) we gathered data on how people in the area experience monsoons, and feedback from the students was used as inspiration for the interactions we created.
Our goal was to create an experience that would create childlike joy in users of all ages.
