Crypto Wuts? Why does a project with a floor of 0.04Ξ have such a diamond handed community of holders? Is it because they enjoy artwork of hairy chested men with nipple rings? Maybe. Though a more popular theory is that this community is betting on the man behind it, Kenny Schachter. Kenny is the cool uncle you never had, the Christies christened artist, the Sothebys shit-poster, and the top dog of CryptoMutts. Adopting a CryptoMutt grants holders a unique level of access to the well established artist. It’s like becoming a part of Kenny’s family group chat, except in this case it’s Discord and the family is the NFT community. With CryptoMutts comes membership to the NFT Arts Club, think of it like a first class ticket to a bridge between fine-art and NFTs. “I bet on people” – Zeneca_33 It’s been a difficult week for projects across the board, as ETH continues the bull run we’re seeing a lot of red in the metaverse. As projects take heavy dips FUD begins to creep in while those focused on the bigger picture are just doing their best to hold. For the CryptoMutts things are different, they were born on the floor, they started from the bottom, and with Kenny behind the wheel… ok I’m mixing too many metaphors THE POINT IS – Kenny is putting his literal body and metaverse soul into this project, the holders believe in him and we at The Drop believe it’s only a matter of time until these Mutts have their day.

Q. What inspired you to
make hairy chested, nipple ring donning CryptoMutts?
A. Most PFPs are as generic
as bland; and, many are rather male-centric without so much as a nod to the diversity that characterizes a truer picture of the world’s population. The Mutts celebrate all, in the full panorama of our wackiness and glory.
Q. You’ve been in the
art game a long time - creating, curating, writing and NFT minting. You’re involved in a bit of everything but what’s your favourite outlet?
A. Writing, teaching and
above all, giving form and expression to my ideas.
Q. As an early advocate
for NFTs, do you think the fine art world is starting to catch on?
A. Yes, once the art world
hears the clarion call of the cash register they quickly, violently take notice
Q. Only 11% of
CryptoMutts are listed for sale, why do you think that is?
A. Mutts launched less than
two months ago— the world’s very first true art’s club and I have only just begun to flesh out what the picture will fully look like. It’s exciting times for me and the Mutts, a period of great discovery and adventure for all, and I am apparently not the only one that sees the rich potential of what that future might hold.

$ENS Ethereum Name Service launch their DAO governance token, air-dropping degens around the world a stimulus package worth upwards of $20k. ENS is a protocol that issues NFTs representing Ethereum addresses, think of it a bit like DNS for your wallets. .eth domain holders are able to claim the tokens by voting on four aticles of the governance consitution and are only eligible to receive tokens depending on how long they’ve held the domain.
Mysterious Metaverse Speaking of 10KTF – we can’t help but notice a number of big NFTs have been dropping hints towards some kind of colloboration. We’ll let you play spot the blue-chip, but take note of The Secret Tower right in the middle, this belongs to the Forgotten Runes Wizard’s Cult which we covered in our last issue, get yourself a copy before it’s too late!
Discord Hacks run rampant Be on the look out for popular discord channels announcing stealth drops out of the blue, a popular discord attack involves malicious actors taking over discord bots in order to ‘announce’ a new “stealth mint!”. The links will direct users to a phising site to steal their ETH. This most recently occured on prominent discords like 10KTF and Beeple.
