Arunachal Congress questioned JAC’s silence on the state overdraft, alleges to have got equal share ET Bureau Itanagar, Apr 9

during the previous govt.? Where are they now?”, state the Congress committee.

The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) today slammed the Jan Andolan Committee (JAC) of BJP over its complete silence on the reported state overdraft of Rs. 500 crores. “JAC which was formed during April last year spearheaded the protest against Tuki led govt for financial crisis, but we are surprised that the same JAC have ignored the present reported overdraft as it is not one of their concerns”, stated APCC in an official release.

Saying that Tuki had maintained financial discipline, APCC stated that it was misused by Pul govt. which led to the overdraft. APCC urged the Governor J. P. Rajkhowa to conduct an enquiry if he really feels as consider himself as a neutral constitutional head of the State.

While alleging that the JAC become quite after getting an equal share at the beginning of the financial year APCC said that the BJP has shown its heights of playing a double standard to befool the public. “APCC wants to call the JAC at this time. Where are those people who arranged many rallies, many press conferences and said that they were concern for the public in those days

ET CAPSULES 2 cadres arrested Golaghat, Apr 9: Another militant outfit formed in the state. It has come to light when two leaders of the outfit named ' Asom Suraksha Bahini' was arrested by Golaghat police. Two leaders namely Rabul Bora and Dulal Lahon of the militant outfit Asom Suraksha Bahini was arrested by a team of Golaghat police and a .22 calibre pistol, three rounds of live cartridges, extortion letter, fire crackers were recovered from their possession. But the most remarkable part is that the arrested duo are notorious car lifters though they gave statement regarding their organisation that the organisation was formed to raise voice against corruption. However, the police has stated about the organisational structure and activities of Asom Suraksha Bahini in other parts of the state. (Correspondent)

One commits Suicide Dergaon, Apr 9: One Menaka Kurmi (30) allegedly 'hanged' herself at 3 o'clock this evening in the residential premises of one Partha Pratim Phukon, a resident of Phukon Nagar area, here. Police said that Menaka's daughter works as a maid at the residence of Phukon and she has come to visit her daughter on Friday. Since, the body of the woman was reportedly found to be hanging from a relatively low tree, police suspect that there might be other reasons which might have led to the death of the woman. "Her daughter unknowingly unlocked the rope which the deceased might have used before the arrival of the police team", a police official said. An investigation is being conducted after magistrate and Circle Officer, Dergaon revenue circle Lakhimi Dutta visited the spot. (Correspondent)

APCC further stated that the PPA leader, Kalikho Pul and BJP leader Tamiyo Taga have said very clearly in the assembly session last year that most of the development fund is being concentrated only in Itanagar but it is again surprised that the same man (Pul) is rampantly sanctioned fund, issuing LOC to the tune of crore of rupees and cheques to undeserved individuals in the capital complex. This money is supposed to be taken to respective constituencies. “While visiting toilet and bathroom, he has announced to

pump money to these in crores of rupees. He also arranged good numbers of media team for his publicity stunt. He just announced it out of enthusiasm not out of strategy and planning. (Hosh mein nahi, Josh mein). This Govt. has no manifesto from the party and hangs in the air which shows that it will not last”, said the press statement. In a democratic set up, APCC states, everything is guided by the bye laws of the constitution but this Govt. has no strategy and guidelines and it is being formed without the mandate of the people. Pul is copying from Prime Minister Narendra Modi who knows only to throw dialogues but zero in practical. (Bhashan hi bhashan, ration hi nahin.) Intelligent people and civil citizen will judge this illegal Govt. whether it its service to the people is judiciously served or not or giving satisfaction only to the vested interest individuals.
