Tinsukia, July 18. Troops of 16 Assam Riffles on Monday arrested a NSCN - K cadre from Noglo under Changlang district in Aruanchal Pradesh. The arrested cadre has been identified as Jenlong Mokhpu, resident of Laju. Security forces has recovered a 7.65 mm pistol from his possession. According to sources, the arrested youth was working at Pongchau Hotel when he taken to Mon district in Nagaland for training in January this year. He had come to Noglo for collection of taxes when security forces nabbed him. (Spl Correspondent)
3-year old dies on spot Tinsukia, July 18. In a heart-breaking incident, a three - year old child lost her life after she fell from third floor of a building here at Chirwapatty area of Tinsukia town on Monday. The deceased, Mukti Agarwal also known as Pihu, had come to her grandma's place on vacations.

Seven oil tankers gutted in fire A Staff Reporter Dibrugarh, Jul 18
Seven crude oil carrying tankers of the Oil India Limited (OIL) were gutted in a devastating fire at an unloading station in Dikom in Dibrugarh district today. An OIL official said that a tanker was unloading crude oil at a Crudeoil Browser Unloading Station (CBUS) at around 1.45 pm when it suddenly caught fire. In a flash the blaze engulfed six other tankers at the site. The place is near the

As the maternal uncle of the child left home on the third floor after breakfast, the girl walked behind her and walked out of the flat finding the main gate open. Members in the family thought she had gone with her 'mama' but something else was written in her destiny. The girl walked towards an open balcony (extra space) on the floor which did not had any railings and fell down.
