Mysterious death of Railway engineer

Rangia, Dec 6: The dead body of Mukul Deka, Railway sr. sectional engineer of New Guwahati was found at his Railway quarters of Pandu in the wee hours of Sunday. Earlier, he remained untraceable till the night of Saturday. He was a resident of Naburka under Kamalpur police station in Kamrup district. After being informed police from Pandu out post rushed to the spot and recovered the dead body of Mukul Deka. After post mortem, the dead body was brought to his native village that is Naburka. Hundreds of people paid their last respects to the departed soul. He is survived by his wife who is an Asstt. Professor at Pragjyotish College and two sons. Meanwhile, Nabarun Sahitya Sabha and Naburka Satra Committee condoled Deka’s demise. (Correspondent)

10-15 year old vehicles banned Guwahati, Dec 6: In a progressive step and in an effort to make road transportation comfortable and safe, the Assam government has decided to ban and replace all the 15-year-old city buses, school buses, trekkers and 10-year-old share taxies in Guwahati. The decision of the government will be implemented from 31st march 2016. Sources said that the decision of the government would be implemented in other major towns of the State in a phase wise manner. The parties, which operate these 15-year-old city buses, school buses and trekkers in the city, have been given four months to replace their vehicles. (Staff Reporter)

Today’ had broken the news of Plan-B being made by the antiTuki camp in its Dec. 5 edition.
