Few years back Durga Puja or Diwali was a synonym for ‘Dice Gambling’ popularly known as “Jhandi Munda” in Arunachal Pradesh. In fact, before the enactment of Arunachal Pradesh Gambling Prohibition (ACT) of 2012, Arunachal Pradesh was the only Indian state where gambling had been legal under the Public Gambling Act, enacted in 1867. India never attacks anyone but will retaliate and "not count the bullets" if attacked, home minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday said after assessing security on border with Pakistan in the wake of surgical strikes. Singh, who visited BSF's Munabao Border Outpost, assured the security personnel that the government will do everything to improve the border infrastructure, including completing the floodlighting and a parallel road along the fencing, and their service conditions. "Our heritage is 'Vasudev Kutumbakam' meaning the whole world is one family. We do not intend to occupy others' land. We never open fire first, but if attacked, in retaliation we never count the bullets after pulling the trigger," he said addressing the BSF personnel on the second day of his Rajasthan visit. Singh also lauded the BSF personnel who guard the borders effectively despite adverse temperature and difficult desert terrain guard. Even as the Capital Police are yet to unravel the mystery behind the suicide of former Chief Minister late Kalikho Pul at the now deserted CM’s official Bungalow, the suicide of its caretaker Sushil Burman, two months later in a similar fashion has again put the

spotlight on the Capital Police to throw some light on the entire episode ‘shrouded in mystery.’ Sushil Burman, the caretaker of the CM’s official Bungalow at Niti Vihar from around the time of former CM late Dorjee Khandu, was found hanging by the ceiling fan in the upper floor dining hall of the bungalow at around

10 in the morning today. A native of Cooch Behar in West Bengal and a man in his mid 30s, late Burman is now survived by his wife and a 7 months old child. Meanwhile, a police officer on condition of anonymity informed that late Burman had used the curtain ropes to end his life. Also informing that the preliminary investigations

suggest no foul play and that the police have registered a case of natural death by suicide, he however added that the final conclusion would be drawn once the post-mortem reports are out.
