When Reg Parker had a double lung and liver transplant a year ago, he had his wife and two sons by his side, along with the support of 17 other boys. The Etobicoke resident and coach of the Humber Valley Sharks suffered lung and liver failure last March and underwent organ transplant surgery at Toronto General Hospital (TGH). Parker was in surgery for 20 hours and woke up from an induced coma four days after the procedure. After 12 weeks of being in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit on a feeding tube,

Parker was able to go home. “The day I went home was probably, I would say, the fourth best day of my life.
