VALERIE
Co-organizer
Born and raised in the Vancouver area, Val never thought she would be in the creative entrepreneurial world Armed with her degree in Criminology from SFU, she dove into the non-profit world at Dress for Success Vancouver, where she supported women transitioning into the workforce [2012 - Insert first-born child here] From there, the creative (and entrepreneurial) bug hit, and she started Veespoke in 2013, a unique, small-batch run of handmade scarves
In 2015, Val joined the volunteer committee for Etsy Vancouver [2016Insert second child here] In 2017, she became one of the team captains for Etsy Canada in Vancouver From there, she continued her entrepreneurial journey with Veespoke as a 5-star Etsy seller, participating in local craft shows, building an online platform, and [2021 - Insert third child] organizing markets for the Vancouver Etsy Co
On top of that, Val is passionate about empowering creatives and makers in their business journey by providing opportunities and a community for them to be a part of and thrive in Oh, and the most important job since 2012? being a mom to three boys
A forever entrepreneur, a supporter of cute + funny animal vids, and an adamant optimist (until she's not)
A born-and-raised Vancouverite who made her mark in the craft world with her (now retired) knitwear business Anita now spends her time as a consumer and cheerleader of local and handmade goods and services She claims she is “efficient because I’m lazy” and therefore a pro at streamlining processes to just make things work better After many years of being a vendor and customer, she has a keen eye for in-person market displays, online product photos, and effective lookbooks
When she is not delving into the craft world, she also works at BC Cancer and deep into true crime stories and her pup, Penny (who randomly cameos at markets!)
Co-organizer ANITA

Handcrafted Pet ID Tags, Clay Jewelry & More
Mina's small business, based in beautiful BC, was founded shortly after she welcomed her pup Ollie into her life Ollie is Mina and her husband's dearest furry child, whom they love to the moon and back As a mother to this furry angel, Mina understands the horror of a furry baby wandering further than they should Therefore, she wanted to create something necessary and helpful in case a pet's curiosity wins over, although she hopes it won't happen The American Humane Association estimates that over 10 million dogs and cats are lost or stolen in the U S every year, making it crucial for furry babies to wear an ID tag so that neighbours or strangers can identify them
Mina designs and creates every single tag on Tagged By Ollie, thoroughly enjoying every bit of the process She wanted to make the products unique, colorful, and as customizable as possible, believing that pet ID tags should be as cute and colorful as human accessories Mina primarily uses epoxy resin and polymer clay to ensure that the tags are durable, waterproof, lightweight, and, most importantly, handmade with an abundance of love

Hand-carved linocut prints inspired by the Language of Flowers.
I am a printmaker inspired by the botanical symbolism of the Language of Flowers I transfer my illustrations to a lino block and delicately carve my design out I roll the lino block with archival oil-based ink and print it onto fine art paper with a small hand-operated printing press.
Everything is done by hand from start to finish For my symbolic botanical series, I inscribe each flower with its meaning at the bottom of the artwork I find beauty and serenity in the little imperfections of each one-of-a-kind print
